NIBE Group established their first subsidiary in Vietnam
NIBE Group is a global group in Sweden that contributes to a smaller carbon footprint and better utilization of energy. It has a market presence on five continents, 12,839 employees with 3 main business areas including Climate solutions, Element and Stoves. Its success factors are long-term investments in sustainable product development and the correct strategic acquisitions. In 2017, they got a total revenue of more than 2 million EUR.
As an international company with more than 60 years of experience, they are always very careful when making decision about the next investment place. After researching about Vietnamese market as well as opportunity to growth here, they finally made a big decision. In 2016, they invested in Vietnam and established their first company, Backer Heating Technologies Vietnam Co., Ltd, in Kizuna 1 Serviced Factory Area.
On March 15th, 2018, Backer Heating Technologies Vietnam held their official Inaugural celebration for their factory in Kizuna. The celebration had the presence of Mr. Gerteric Lindquist – CEO and MD of NIBE Industrier AB and NIBE AB, Mr. Christer Fredrikson – Business Area Director at NIBE Element, Mr. Stefan Eriksson – Director of Backer Heating Technologies as well as many members and partners of NIBE from Sweden, France, China and Vietnam. Backer Heating Technologies Vietnam Co., Ltd specializes in assembling and producing thermal equipment and heating equipment for automobiles. Therefore, in the ceremony, all guesses had a chance to see and hear more about these production processes. All participants were impressed by the modern technology used in each step.
Kizuna greatly appreciate NIBE for trusting and giving us the opportunity to be one of their first “success partner” in Vietnam. Although Backer HTV currently has only 12 employees, it can be sure that this number will increase more and more in the near future along with their business growth.
